Prime Objective
Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The educational programmes have always been the prime objective and focus of the PRI Indian Section (Rubber). It provides specialised training to its members attached to the industry, especially those who have not had adequate opportunity

to attend graduate and post graduate course at universities and Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs). A large section of members throughout the country have advantageously availed of this special facility. This has been the principal contribution of PRI Indian Section (Rubber) and its successor the IRI, towards technological and scientific development of the Indian rubber industry across the tyre and non-tyre sectors.

During 1987, the PRI U.K. underwent further restructuring and by 1992 PRI, U.K. was liquidated and merged with the Institute of Materials, U.K. Her Majesty the Queen is its Chief Patron. The Institute of Materials has now become the Institute
of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) on merger with the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (IOM).
